Social media is a great way for people to connect with and interact with their favourite brands, companies, friends and family. It is also a great tool for businesses to employ when seeking to improve the numbers of visitors to their websites!
The first thing you need to do when looking at increasing your social media range is to think about your target audience. You should think about the exact demographic(s) you are seeking to attract, their typical likes and dislikes, as well as which social networks they are most likely to be using. You can often get a lot of this information from search engines!
Once you have figured out your groups, it is time to start producing share-worthy content. The main thing is it should be interesting, new and unique. If it doesn’t tick one of these boxes, then do not post it! Make sure you have some sort of call to action, such as a link to a particular product on your site, or a contact button to get more information. Something to encouage your viewers to interact with you. Encourage sharing of your content by enabling public access and asking your followers to like and share. You could even add a competition in, where they win something if they share your site!
